iPhone 14 Could Get Performance Boost Even It Have A15 Chip

Published:

It is now being suggested that the upcoming iPhone 14 base models will come with a performance boost, even though the A15 chip from last year will still power them.

As earlier reports indicated, Apple plans to make significant differences between iPhone 14 Pro models and non-pro models.

iPhone 14 May Come with Enhanced A15 Chip

One of the significant changes to non-pro models is using the same chip as iPhone 13 to power them. Although the A15 chip can produce great results, it sounds much less potent on the iPhone 14.

According to a tweet by ShrimpApplePro, a trusted Chinese tipster, the iPhone 14 models that are not pro will offer an overall performance increase over the iPhone 13 series.

He also mentioned the latest cellular modem. This is a 5G modem. The internal design is referred to as other improvements like RAM.

Rumors had suggested earlier that all iPhone 14 models would have 6GB of RAM. This is better than the iPhone 13 with a 2GB RAM boost. The iPhone 13 Pro Max, however, has 6GB RAM.

These details will help you decide whether to buy the iPhone 14 base model or the iPhone 14 Max mini version. It is a wise decision because it allows for upgrades.

Other improvements include:

  • A new notch design and a pill-shaped cutout for the camera.
  • Upgrades to the 48MP primary lenses.
  • The Always On-Display feature.

The company has not confirmed that the iPhone 14 non-pro models would come with an A15 bionic chipset. Nevertheless, as Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has also stated, this is a tip that many people have been predicting.

The company will launch iPhone 14 next week. However, it might delay until October due to reports about supply issues in China.
